New details have emerged about Eva Evans' final moments.
The New York influencer—who co-created, directed and starred in the web comedy series Club Rat—died on April 20 at the age of 29, and now her cause of death has been determined as suicide, the New York City medical examiner told TMZ.
While the official results of the toxicology report are still pending, authorities also said Eva had sustained no unusual injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the publication previously reported.
E! News reached out to police for comment on the case but has not heard back.
The cause of Eva's death arrives two days after the TikToker's sister Lila announced her passing in an emotional tribute on social media.
"Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died," the 27-year-old wrote in an April 21 Instagram post, alongside a photo of Eva. "After 24 hours, i still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so i know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be."
Noting that she wished Eva were alive because "she would have better words and know how to say what I don't," Lila added, "I am keeping this brief, so we can plan for the next few days, but you'll be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her."
Following her sister's announcement, more of Eva's friends, costars and fans shared their own heartfelt tributes for the late filmmaker, whose Club Rat series debuted on Amazon Prime Video in 2023.
"Rest in peace, angel Eva," The Hills alum Lo Bosworth commented under one of Eva's Instagram posts. "You were always kind to me when others couldn't be bothered. Will never forget that kindness."
In addition to Lila, Eva is survived by her mom, Heather Evans, and sisters Zoe and Sofi.
